Job Title: Summer Fun Camps Supervisor
Rockliffe Lawn Tennis Club (RLTC) is hiring a Summer Fun Camps Supervisor for 8-10 summer sessions (June 21-August 27). The camps are aimed at pre-competitive and recreational players ages 6-14y.o. Camp Supervisor must possess strong interpersonal skills to build successful working relationships and rapport with the Head Pro, club manager, participants, parents/guardians, instructors and CITs. Minimum 20h/week plus some additional hours might be available (privates, hitting lessons, etc.). RLTC is a family friendly tennis club, with four hard and four har-tru tennis courts, lots of green space and bright vintage clubhouse.
Requirements:
• Duration: June through August (camps start on June 21st). Half day camp running from 9-12 each day
• Implement progressive tennis curriculum and program outline provided by the Head Coach, as well as have a good understanding of LTAD and physical literacy
• Being able to work as a team and be committed to provide great customer service, high level of engagement and camp experience for kids and families
• Responsible for managing tennis equipment, set up and take down: mini-nets, ball hoppers, balls, racquets, targets, animation, prizes, etc.
• On-court tennis instruction, motivating and assisting staff of 2-3 instructors and CITs
• Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to relate and foster an inclusive, positive and dynamic learning environment for students of all ages and levels of abilities
• Following COVID safety protocol for the staff and students, maximizing use of space, using additional activities and stations, etc.
• Being available to speak to parents during drop off and pick up, accommodate any special instructions/requests, provide and receive feedback, as well as deal with issues, as needed, in a respectful and constructive manner.
Qualifications:
• Ontario Tennis Association Club Pro 1 or OTA Instructors’ Certificate
• Previous experience running camps and junior programs
• Needs to have a good understanding of progressive tennis, developmental stages, physical literacy and able to work in fast paced environment
• Respect in Sports Module by TC and Quality Standards for Kids Programs (both available through TPA) are preferred
• Emergency First Aid certificate preferred
• Police reference check and vulnerable sector screening required

Rockliffe Lawn Tennis Club (RLTC) RLTC is looking for full-time and part-time tennis instructors. If you are over the age of 16, have your OTA Instructor’s Course certification, an understanding of progressive tennis, and love to work with kids, this opportunity is for you. Hours of work will vary from 10-20h per week. There may be opportunities for delivering private lessons. Having fun in the sun with kids is one of the best jobs. Playing tennis after work, priceless!

- Availability 10-20h/week, afterschool program, summer camps, private and hitting lessons
- Level of play 3.5 and up
- Working with the coaching staff on delivering pre-competitive and recreational programs and camps, ages 6-15y.o.
- Good communication skills and teaching ability, being able to relate, engage with your students and make learning fun
- Being a team player, and capable of taking direction as well as problem solve
- Sound understanding of progressive tennis, being comfortable running a group lesson for students on either red, orange or green court. You will need to be able to adjust level of challenge, delivery, feedback and intensity based on the group.

- Handling cash and credit card sales
- Daily use of Jegysoft software for court booking and program registration
- Serving beer and wine
- Serving beverages and food items
- Clearing tables and sanitizing seating areas
- Tidying club house area
- Sanitizing bathrooms
- Attending to courts: refilling on-court water coolers, removing trash from bins, sweeping or court upkeep as directed by Club Manager
- Ontario Smart Serve for serving alcohol
- Comfort with computers and learning new software (Jegysoft)
- Ability to multitask

- Knowledge of French
