Rockcliffe Lawn Tennis Club is a private, community-based club in the heart of Rockcliffe Park, Ottawa. We have 8 courts, a practice wall, clubhouse and beautiful gardens.

RLTC Assistant Professional

We are seeking a certified and experienced coach for approximately 30+ hours per week from May - October 2024. The coach will deliver quality instruction and programming for adults and juniors, including group and private lessons, camps and clinics.




A qualified coach is a teacher, mentor and role model for any club, and ultimately helps people discover and nurture a passion for tennis. RLTC is seeking qualified Tennis Coaches who can:


  • Teach fundamental skills, techniques and strategies to enhance players’ performance.

  • Deliver consistent quality lessons in a safe and secure learning environment.

  • Play a key role in delivering current junior and adult programming.

  • Plan, manage and deliver after school and summer camps for kids.

  • Conduct group and individual tennis lessons for various ages and skill levels.

  • Provide quality leadership and a positive, highly visible, and engaging style with an accessible and approachable personality.

  • Attend/assist with social events as needed.

  • Initiate and maintain open dialogue with Dan Vila - RLTC Tennis Director

  • Learn to use Club Automation (lesson & court booking system).

  • Be personable and outgoing with the ability to engage members of all ages and playing levels.

  • Provide members and guests with an environment that meets the values of the Club.

  • Report directly to the Tennis Director and Head Professional; in cooperation with the leadership team and coaching team, will be responsible for implementing the junior program curriculum while leading the team on the court.



  • Tennis Canada Club Professional 1 or higher certification.

  • Minimum 5 years experience coaching tennis.

  • Member in good standing with the Tennis Professionals Association.

  • Current First Aid certification.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills including effective resolution skills.

  • Passionate for the sport, with an energetic and dynamic personality to engage players.

  • Strong relationship building, conflict resolution and customer service skills.

  • Ability to interact professionally with students, parents and RLTC staff.

  • Good organizational and administration skills; accustomed to using online resources/software for booking camps and lessons.

  • High degree of reliability and flexibility.

RLTC Club Attendant

Rockcliffe Lawn Tennis Club (RLTC) is seeking seasonal Club House Attendants. Candidates should be motivated, energetic, and hard-working, with excellent people skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Interacting and communicating with members

  • Handling point of sale (POS) transactions

  • Using software for court booking and program registration

  • Serving beverages and food items

  • Cleaning tables and sanitizing seating areas

  • Tidying club house and surrounding seating areas

  • Sanitizing bathrooms

  • Keeping courts clean as directed

  • Attending to courts throughout the shift

Skills which are an asset

  • Service-oriented

  • Excellent people skills

  • Must feel comfortable with learning new software

  • Ability to multitask

  • Graphic design skills and experience with with Canva or similar programs

  • Experience with event planning 

  • Basic knowledge of tennis and its rules

Work Term:

  • Duration of work term is May 3 to October 15, 2024 (Flexibility Available).

  • Shift work at the clubhouse. Days, evenings and weekends possible.
