The Rockcliffe Lawn Tennis Club is a private community-based seasonal tennis club located in the heart of Rockcliffe Park, Ottawa. It has 8 courts, a club house, and associated garden areas for use by its members.
Assistant Club Manager (ACM)
The assistant Club Manager (ACM) will assume the regular duties of a Club Attendant in addition to some extended managerial tasks as noted below. The approximate split of time will be 70% regular CA duties, and 30% management duties
Regular Duties of the Club Attendants include, but are not limited to:

Interacting and communicating with members and the public in a polite, respectful, and effective manner in person and on the phone

Handling point of sale transactions

Use of Software for court booking and program registration
-
Preparing and saving beverages and food items
-
Cleaning and maintaining hygienic food preparation spaces
-
Clearing tables and sanitizing seating areas
-
Tidying club house and surrounding seated garden areas
-
Sanitizing bathrooms on a set schedule
-
Basic court maintenance during the day (sweeping courts, filling water coolers, emptying garbages, etc.)
-
Attending to courts throughout the shift
-
Opening or closing the club house (if working the starting or closing shift)
-
Updating Twitter feed on court conditions (raining, too wet, maintenance, etc.)
Extended managerial duties of the ACM include, but are not limited to:

Answering membership emails and responding to inquiries in a professional manner

Increased admin access to software system to adjust registrations, faulty payments, or other system fixes

Assist in the inventory management as needed

Being "on-call" during set scheduled times where a staff member can reach out to the ACM if they need additional administrative assistance

Assist in the coordination of club social media and membership information

RLTC Club Attendant
The Rockcliffe Lawn Tennis Club (RLTC) is seeking seasonal Club House Attendants. Candidate should be motivated, energetic, and hard-working, with excellent people skills.
Responsibilities include:

Interacting and communicating with members

Handling point of Sale Transactions

Use of software for court booking and program registration

Serving beverages and food items
-
Cleaning tables and sanitizing seating areas

Tidying club house and surrounding seating areas
-
Sanitizing bathrooms
-
Keeping courts clean as directed
-
Attending to courts throughout the shift
Skills which are an asset

Service-oriented
-
Excellent people skills required
-
Must feel comfortable with learning new software

Ability to multitask
-
Basic knowledge of tennis and its rules
Work Term:

May 3 to October 15.
